In The Past

Kelly Brock has been nominated for the BCCMA’s Female Vocalist of the Year (for a list of the nominees go to: http://www.bccountry.com) and will be performing during the show alongwith George Canyon, Gord Bamford, Rick Tippe, Jessie Farrell and The Higgins to name a few of the recently announced Canadian Country acts.

This past year has seen so many high-lights in the promoting of Brock’s latest CD, Rebel Kind which was co-produced by Kelly and Craig Zurba. Distributed thru Pacific Music/Warner Music, Kelly’s singles have been well-received at many markets in Canada including a strong number of radio stations in her home province of BC. This past summer Brock performed at The Merritt Mountain Music Festival with Dierks Bentley and Hank Williams Jr, and was invited to make her star on the Walk of Stars in Merritt, BC making Kelly a permanent part of country music history.

As well, she performed at the Manitoulin Country Fest in Ontario with Jason Blaine and The Wilkinson’s, she performed live on the critically acclaimed morning news show, Canada AM and had two of her songs featured in the CBS drama, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Kelly also had the wonderful opportunity of singing back-ground vocals on Aaron Pritchett’s new CD and she sang live with him on a new television show called Four Tracks, currently airing on CMT. But the highlight of the past year for Kelly would have to be being invited to sing a duet with Huey Lewis at the Red Robinson Theatre last month, performing the song Cruisin’, made popular by Huey and Gwyneth Paltrow in the movie Duets ( see pics)

May 15^th, 2008 - Kelly Brock releases her new single, “Thirty-Something” to country radio across Canada. The song is inspired by strong, independent women in their 30’s, 40’s and 50’s who juggle both family and career and who still manage to do a few things for themselves! The track has an energetic and up-lifting feel to it and features Kelly’s girlfriends singing group vocals on the bridge and last chorus. This tune is definitely a fun and inspiring track to check out!

May 1^st, 2008 - Kelly recently sang background vocals on three tracks for Aaron Pritchett’s new CD and you can also find Kelly on CMT’s new television program, Four Tracks singing background vocals for an acoustic-based program featuring Aaron’s new tracks. The show will air on CMT July 28^th at 7pm.

Sept 17 th, 2007 ~ Kelly has been nominated for four BC Country Music Awards! She is up for Best Female Vocalist, Album of the Year, SOCAN Songwriter of the Year and Single of the Year and her co-writer and producer, Craig Zurba is up for Best Producer, Best Keyboardist and Best Studio as well as SOCAN Songwriter of the Year. She is also scheduled to perform at the 31st annual BCCMA awards which will take place on Sunday, October 28th at the Red Robinson Showcase Theater in Coquitlam, BC. Still climbing on the CMN Charts, “Cowboy Boots & Levis” shows no signs of slowing down just yet, up 16 spots since April!

May 7^th, 2007 ~ Kelly will be celebrating the release of her fourth CD, Rebel Kind at the Media Club (695 Cambie Street) on Tuesday, June 19th at 10pm. She will be joined on-stage with her six-piece band along with special guest Dustin Bentall. Dustin and Barney Bentall both contributed background vocals on Kelly’s song “Vegas”. The new disc also features some of the hottest female vocalists in town on the track “Thirty-Something”. The gals will also be joining Kelly on-stage during her 40 minute set. The night will open up with Bob Kemmis at 9pm, Kelly Brock’s set will follow at 10pm and Dustin Bentall and his band will close out the night at 11pm. Doors will be open at 8pm and tickets will be sold at the door for $10.00.

Jan 22^nd, 2007 ~ Kelly’s first single, Cowboy Boots and Levis has been added to Mark Trail ’s country music compilation CD. The disc will be sent to radio in Australia , New Zealand , Europe , Japan and Central & South America.

Jan 15^th, 2007 ~ Kelly releases her first single off of her new CD, Rebel Kind. “Cowboy Boots and Levis” has been shipped through BDS to Canadian Country radio and to selected Americanaand Country radio stations in the US.
